Ryan Harper

Ryan Harper is a product designer/developer and musician working at the intersection of art and technology. In his current role as Product Director at Condé Nast Entertainment, he focuses on the video initiatives of Condé Nast brands such as The New Yorker, Vogue, Pitchfork, and WIRED, in addition to a standalone video site and iOS app, The Scene. Previously, Ryan was a product manager at iHeartMedia where he led releases of the iHeartRadio Android app in addition to cross-platform initiatives involving recommendations, search, and social media. Prior to joining iHeartMedia, he co-founded the music distribution startup newquill, Inc. and developed iOS and Android apps for DirecTV, LACMA, and WebMD. While at WebMD he also led the development of Healthy Target, a behavior change program that provides actionable insights on biometric data from the Apple Health app and wearable device vendors such as Fitbit, Jawbone, and Withings. Outside of work, Ryan leads the technology initiatives of Kettle Corn New Music and is an active composer and performer. He graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Literature and Music and received a M.M. in Composition from the USC Thornton School of Music.
